You are really inspiring me to start my own Blogger blog. I've never knitted a thing in my life, and have not crocheted since shortly after Corinne taught me when I was 8 yrs old - a little while before I met you. Remember out next door neighbors, Julie and Joe? (Julie was mean!). Corinne was her elderly mother who lived in the downstairs apartment. She was in her 90's, spoke mainly French, was deaf,and was incredibly lonely. After noticing her watching me play in the backyard on Bloomfield St, I went over and introduced myself. I pieced together some Mrs Young's French Class French from STS to strike up a conversation with her, and a few days later, she sent Joe over to ask my mom if I wanted to come visit. OF COURSE I did! Over the next several months, we developed a very sweet friendship, 82 years spanning out age difference, and she taught me to crochet. I think Julie was jealous of our closeness, and eventually forbade me from coming back over. Something about me breaking something in her apt was the excuse, I remember. My mother was furious. She still watched me play from time to time, and we'd wave at each other. Corinne died later that year, and I gave up crocheting - it reminded me too much of her. I don't know where I'm going with this, except to say that I love reading about your life and your knitting, and a blog is in my future. I don't really have a specific interest like you do... maybe it could be about medicine, or my crazy friends, or just random stuff. I hope it's ok if I ask you questions sometimes about formatting and other odeas- yo seem to have it down. Thanks for listening. :) -- Love, Kris
